Central Atolls – 10 Night Charter

Tour Description:

This one-way itinerary touches two of the most famous atolls of the Maldives, Vaavu and Ari, with their several places of interest. During this cruise, the yacht reaches also the large Thaa and Laamu Atolls, which are well known for their great surfing and fishing. During the charter surfers will touch the best and uncrowded breaks of all the Central Atolls: Kasabu, Bowling Alley, Malik’s, Adonis, Mikado, Refugees, and Tsunami. There is no end to the uncontaminated deserted islands and all you have to do is put your head under water anywhere to admire intact coral reefs, teeming with fish and full of coral. The charter ends at Kudahuvadhoo airport where guests will get a domestic flight to Malè. On request the charter could also end at Nyama resort in Dhaalu Atoll.

Mantas during the wet monsoon: this is the promise of the waters and passes around Alimatha and the eastern side of Vaavu atoll. Ari Atoll is also a diver’s paradise. The best diving sites include the marine reserves of Kudarah Thila or the fascinating and suggestive Broken Rock. The reef outside the island of Maamigili is plied in both directions by several local cruising boats in search of the giant of the seas, the whale shark, whose formidable shape is clearly visible even with just goggles and flippers.

Day 1: Guraidhoo Kandu

Snorkeling, check dive for scuba divers at Kuda Giri wreck.

Day 2: Myaru Kandu

Snorkeling & scuba diving, visit to Kudadhiggaru Finolhu, dolphin watching.

Day 3: Dhangethi Village

Navigation to Ari Atoll. Snorkeling & scuba diving. Visit to Dhangethi village.

Day 4: Fenfushi

Snorkeling & scuba diving, mantas & whale shark watching, and visit to the village of Fenfushi.

Day 5: Kandufushi

Navigation to Thaa Atoll. Surfing at Kasabu, snorkeling & scuba diving, visit to the desert island of Kandufushi.

Day 6: Hirilandhoo

Surfing at Bowling Alley and Malik’s. Snorkeling & scuba diving. Night fishing.

Day 7: Maavah

Surfing at Adonis and Mikado. Snorkeling & scuba diving, visit to the local village of Maavah. Night dive**.

Day 8: Bodufinolhu

Surfing at Refugee’s and Tsunamis. Snorkeling & scuba diving at Maabaidhoo. Visit to a wonderful desert island with BBQ dinner**.

Day 9: Veymandhoo

Surfing at Adonis and Mikado.Snorkeling & scuba diving, visit to the local village of Veymandhoo.

Day 10: Kudahuvadhoo Airport

Surfing, snorkeling and back to Kudahuvadhoo airport.
